OPERATION

👉 The single shaft shredder operates on heterogeneous medium-hard materials through a combination of impact, cutting, and braking processes.

👉 The shredding process functions through a rotor-stator device. Material is fed into the hopper, from where it drops into the shredding chamber.

👉 Once the machine starts, the material is pushed forward by a plate, which is moved by a hydraulic pusher and presses the material against the rotor.

👉 This configuration enables the machine to shred even large pieces, which remain in the shredding compartment until they are reduced to the correct dimensions to pass through the screen.

👉 The rotor shaft is driven by an electric motor connected to a gearbox. The bottom part of the shredder is closed off by a screen grid, and shredded material dimensions can be pre-selected by assembling an appropriate screen.

👉 The single shaft shredder is ideal for reducing the size of a wide range of plastic materials, such as purgings, lumps, profiles, cut pieces of heavy-wall pipes, and molded plastic components.
