OPERATION

👉 Double shaft shredders operate on a pull and tear process.

👉 The shredding process works on a rotor-stator device. Materials are fed into the hopper, from where they drop into the shredding chamber.

👉 This configuration enables the shredder to process even large pieces, which stay in the shredding compartment until they reach the correct dimensions to pass through the screen.

👉 The rotor shaft is driven by an electric motor connected to a gearbox. The bottom part of the shredder is closed off by a screen grid, and the shredded material size can be pre-selected based on the screen assembly.

👉 Rotor blades can be rotated four times before requiring replacement, significantly lowering running costs and minimizing downtime.
